Dry the River - 'No Rest'

In our lesson we listened and watched 'No rest' by Dry the River. The first time it was played we didn't see the video to it as we each came up with separate ideas as to what visuals would go with the music. My idea was that it was to do with a boy being bullied in school and when the song came to the climax the boy overcame the bully by knocking him out. The next idea came from James and will who both thought that the song was to do with a man walking through a corn field singing the lyrics with a guitar which meant it was a more Indie approach.

The next time the video was played we watched the visuals and fed back as to what we thought was going on in the video. We each thought that each of the 5 singers were getting burnt alive. We thought this as they were laying on a bed of rocks whilst getting water thrown over them which we thought resembled petrol. The dark colours of grey and brown resemble a depressing mood which back our thoughts up more.
